Product Overview
Description
Licorne Heraldique is a French jacquard wall tapestry based on the original tapestry woven circa 1890 by William Morris (1836-1896), famous British artist and designer. This design was part a set of 6 tapestries called The Holy Grail series. This scene symbolizes the Quest for the Unicorn by King Arthur's legendary twenty-four knights. The Unicorn, a mythical animal of the middle-ages and symbol of purity is surrounded by shields bearing the coat of arms for the Knights of the Round Table bidden to seek the Unicorn.
