Les Normands (The Norman fleet) is a French woven jacquard wall tapestry. The artwork comes from the famous medieval Bayeux Tapestry. This remarkable embroidery of the late 11th century is now exhibited at Bayeux, Normandy. Over 220 ft long,it depicts the events leading up to the Battle of Hastings in 1066 when Duke William of Normandy was victorious over King Harold.
