Product Overview
Description
This Belgian wall tapestry captures the imagination and bares great historical significance. The original of this tapestry, Triumph of Flora, (est. 1774) is one of the series woven for gods. The goddess Flora is seated among her ladies, who bring her flowers. In the left background rises a temple with sculptures of gods in its niches.
In Roman mythology, Flora was a goddess of flowers and the season of spring, a symbol for nature and flowers. She was a relatively minor figure in Roman mythology, being one among many fertility goddesses, her association with the spring gave her particular importance at the coming of springtime.
A fine accent to your home décor.
